Sleepy Traveller is an arrival alarm for people who have a tendency to sleep while travelling. Its designed to use the GPS hardware on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S to alert you when you reach your destination.

Many of us have been there - a late night out, followed by a journey home on a bus or train, ending in the harsh realisation that youve missed your stop. Sleepy Traveller aims to combat this problem by allowing you to search for your destination, wherever in the world you may be, and set an alarm to sound when you get nearby.

Not just useful for sleepy / inebriated users, this is also a great tool for tourists, or travellers unfamiliar with their surroundings, who may need to know when to exit a bus at the right stop. Simply search for your destination, set the alarm, and be happy that you wont miss the stop you need.

This application uses GPS, so of course, this wont be much good on underground trains etc, but provided you can get a GPS signal, the application will sound an alarm, and optionally vibrate to let you know when you get to where you need to be. In addition, your location will be updated in realtime on a map, centred around your destination, so you can see exactly where you are in relation to your stop.

Of course, this is no substitute for sensible, safe and responsible travelling, but if youre feeling sleepy, and need a gentle nudge when you get to your stop, this application may well be the solution.
